ODC Club
One platform for the Orange Digital Center clubs on Tunisian campuses
The problem
Orange Digital Center opened six ODC Clubs across Tunisian university campuses, and they grew faster than they could coordinate. Clubs were not in sync, and members had no shared network to meet, join events or follow what other clubs were doing.
My role
Full-stack web developer with Jesser Ben Khairia, in a Scrum team with a UI/UX designer and an iOS developer. We delivered it in three sprints and defended it as our bachelor's graduation project on 22 May 2024.
Decisions
Five roles, each seeing only its job
Super admin, ODC coordinator, club manager, club member and visitor. Coordinators run the clubs in their region, managers accept members and post articles, members join events, and visitors can still take part in open events by leaving their details.
Built what the IEEE platform lacked
We benchmarked the IEEE platform clubs already knew. Its navigation was heavy, it had no voting sessions and it kept visitors at arm's length. So events here carry votes, and visitors have a path to membership instead of a wall.
Coordinators steer with KPIs
Event KPIs, starting with participant counts, sit in the coordinator dashboard next to survey results. Coordinators design each club's programme from those numbers and the community's needs, not from guesswork.
Three sprints, three shippable increments
User management first, then events and votes, then clubs and KPIs. Each sprint ended on a working increment, tracked in Jira, on an MVC architecture that kept the API and the interfaces apart.
What it does today
- Clubs, members, events, votes, articles and trainings managed in one place, from a public platform and an admin dashboard.
- Defended as our bachelor's graduation project at ISSAT Mateur on 22 May 2024.
